NSW Police confirmed today that they were investigating the alleged attack on a sailor in full navy uniform in the centre of the CBD today. It is understood punches were thrown and threats of beheading were made. Defence force families have already been put on high alert after an incident in Western Sydney in which two men of Middle Eastern appearance approached the house of a serving soldier and asked if defence force personnel lived there. They left after the wife of the soldier told them “no”.
