NTS test mandatory for admission University of Karachi (Applied Physics included) Passing of the National Testing Service (NTS) has been made mandatory for admission in about 20 departments of the University of Karachi (KU), the administration decided on Tuesday. The new policy would be implemented in the varsity from the academic year 2014. The departments with a new policy include Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Biotechnology, Environment, Computer Science, APPLIED PHYSICS, Chemical Technology, Food Sciences and Technology, Microbiology, Economics, Mass Communication, International Relations, English, Pharmacy, Special Education and others.
