NUGGET OF GOLD --- The Prodigal Son left home and thought he did - TopicsExpress

NUGGET OF GOLD --- The Prodigal Son left home and thought he did not need a father. His elder brother stayed at home but later thought he had no father --- because his father had not given him a feast like he did to his lost-and-found brother. Some are lost outside, but some are lost right at home. We can extend it to many areas in society --- some are separated from their fiancées and spouses and think they don’t have a fiancée, husband, or wife, while others are still in their relationships but interpret their conditions to believe they really have no fiancée, husband, or wife. Some live outside and believe they are homeless, while others in houses feel un-loved and unaccepted, and do not get desired amenities or luxuries and therefore believe they have no real homes, especially when they compare themselves with others. Some with jobs are so dissatisfied that they think and behave as if their skills are rusting and their time being wasted, and believe they have no genuine work or source of income at all, while some are still struggling outside to get jobs or define their careers, and believe their education and skills are wasting away as they wait. The Prodigal Son and his elder brother therefore represent the two groups of lost people in the world today. But, there is a third group of people who know they need a father and really have a Father in Heaven whose Spirit lives in them, and whom they truly worship because of a genuine relationship with Jesus, and the recognition of God’s love plus His sovereignty, purpose, and power that is working for them behind the scenes. Wherever God has placed such devoted people, they are content with what God has graciously given them now, while they patiently WAIT in faith and obedience for God to supply the rest on His agenda for the prosperity and success of their future.
