NUMSA remains an integral part of COSATU that is autonomous in terms of runining its programs and define its constitution as an independent trade union movement. It remain the voice of workers in the metal industry and therefore champions their interest as such, as an advanced strata of the working class. We cannot be ashemed to be associated with NUMSA in any form at all material times just because some paragons of political correctness are screaming on top of their voice against NUMSA and mudslinging anyone who seem to be associated with it. With regards to their democratically taken resolutions at their duly constitutional meeting (Special National Congress) on matters where we may disagree at strategic and tactical level, theres nothing stoping any sober formation of the left to engage with NUMSA and perhaps persuade them otherwise.
