NURSE VACANCY IN QATAR Sidra Medical and Research Center Research Nurse – Clinical Registries Job description The Research Nurse assists clinical investigators and scientists in conducting clinical research. Key Accountabilities: Coordinates and administers research studies as directed. Administers and coordinates Sidra disease registries. Liaises with Sidra nurses and other healthcare staff in conducting research. Liaises with staff at Primary Health Care clinics to obtain data for Sidra studies. Obtains consent for research-related interviews and procedures. Maintains consent log, detailing reasons for non-consent. Develops suitable paper or computerized case-report-forms and questionnaires. Performs face-to-face interviews with patients. Liaises with Medical Records Departments to obtain relevant research data. Identifies problems related to patient data and alerts Principle Investigator Documents all research contact within the patient’s medical record. Enters data (where necessary) into research databases or disease registries. Assists Data-Managers in verifying and cleaning patient data. Organizes relevant research papers, questionnaires and other materials. Writes comprehensive reports regarding disease registry data. Performs physicals and conducts medical testing as directed. Telephones or visits patients at home to conduct follow-up tests and interviews. Regularly attends Clinical Epidemiology and Research Team meetings Follows all Sidra-related policies and procedures Attends Sidra committees when appropriate Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies Desired Skills and Experience Education Bachelors Degree in relevant field Experience 3+ years experience as a clinical research nurse Broad clinical practice experience Experience of clinical research in feto-maternal health and/or child health Experience with Clinical Disease Registries Certification and Licensure RGN/RN registered or equivalent in country of origin Training and Certificate of Good Clinical Practice The Society of Clinical Research Associates Certificate Job Specific Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of patient-interviewing Demonstrated knowledge of data-collection Demonstrated ability in supporting clinical research projects Demonstrated knowledge and application of good clinical practice Computing/IT proficiency Word processing proficiency Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Fluency in written and spoken EnglishKnowledge of Arabic culture in the Arabian Gulf Experience with Database and Statistics Software Fluency in written and spoken Arabic Knowledge of regulatory issues relating to the conduct of research If you are interested, please apply through their website careers.sidra.org/sidra/VacancyDetail.aspx?VacancyID=65148&pageid=9021
