NVQ Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship available in Durham! (NECC REF: NECC1017) Key Objectives / Responsibilities To assist and provide support with the day-to-day running of the Group Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Department. Working as an integral part of the Group SHEQ team we will look to improve your knowledge and skills in order to generate, promote and maintain a positive health, safety, quality and environmental culture. Initially this will involve providing mainly administrative support. As the role develops and core skills and competencies are gained the role will involve assisting with higher level tasks such as carrying out all necessary inspections, site visits and investigations. The successful candidate is likely to initially undertake a Business Administration Apprenticeship with additional training specific to the business in the areas of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Matters. Key Tasks 1 Provide general assistance with maintaining appropriate files/records for the department. 2 Making sure correct procedures for filing weekly diary sheets, asbestos exposure records, equipment check sheets, waste transfer notes, TBT registers, RAMS/ PPE registers, LOLER & PUWER registers are followed. 3 Carry out weekly logging of all Site near miss/feedback cards for record purposes and to look for any trends. 4 Setting up all Company Site SHEQ files. 5 Breaking up completed sites files and filing where required. 6 Distribution of safety briefings and alerts. 7 Gaining knowledge and experience to produce risk assessments/method statements/COSHH Assessments and construction phase health and safety plans. 8 Gain an understanding of the requirements of all company ISO standards in place. 9 Gaining knowledge and experience to ultimately be able to assist and eventually conduct site safety audits across the Group. 10 Undertake any training deemed necessary for the requirements of your own personal development. 11 To undertake any other appropriate duties under the direction of your Line Managers, commensurate with the post and within your capabilities.
