NW Race Producers: IF you PRODUCE A RACE, Please PLEASE send in your results to EQUISTATS! I feel there is a bias against the NW that were not as competitive up here. Since I deal with folks nationally, I tend to notice it. Are we as good as the Midwest and the South?? Well, I feel that when our horses do get a chance to get in the same pen as all the big US barrel horses that the NW horses do very well. We just dont always have the chance to haul that far. January and May are our biggest chances to do that in AZ and WA, and our horses are tough there. HOWEVER, since most our horses earnings up here dont get reported to Equistats, when folks pull the records (and Im referring to mostly the Big Publishing Entities) it looks like our horses arent as strong. Ive scanned Judges offsprings earnings and the earnings they have for his offspring arent EVEN close to what they have truly earned. I would even go out on a limb and say it may be tenfold of what is listed, maybe even more? Judge Cashs reported offspring earnings in barrels are totaling close to a million currently. If the true earnings were listed, it would surely turn some heads. I know this is true for other stallions as well. I want to try and do my part and help out in our industry. Since Im from the NW, then I feel I should be standing up and doing what I can to help further our industry up here. So, here I am on my Soap Box pleading to the producers to PLEASE submit your race results to Equistats. Possibly have someone from Brn4d that will assist the producers in doing this? For those that read this through to the end, I thank you. WHEN YOU ATTEND A RACE, could you please ask your race producer if they will submit results to Equistats, especially the races with nice payouts? It could be a friendly reminder :) PS.
