NWAOBOSHI CONSULTS EJIOFOR OVER DELTA NORTH SENATORIAL SEAT Isho quarters in Ubulu Uku in Aniocha South LG of Delta State was turned into a Mecca of some sort on Tuesday when the Delta State chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Peter Nwaoboshi paid homage to the palatial home of the Onishe of Ubulu Uku , High Chief Emmanuel Onyekachukwu Ejiofor. The visit of Nwaoboshi, UE learnt was to solicit for the support of Ejiofor towards the latter’s ambition to get the Delta North Senatorial seat in 2015. Over the years, Chief Nwaoboshi and many other PDP bigwigs have taken the Onishe as Ubulu Uku political leader and somebody who can carry the people along at all times. In his speech at the Onishe palace, Nwaoboshi unveiled his intention to run for the Delta North Senatorial seat, just as he sought for the total support of Onishe and Ubulu Uku people. The Delta State PDP leader who extolled the virtues of Chief Ejiofor said he found it very imperative to consult political juggernauts like chief Ejiofor and those that matter so as to intimate them with his plans. While praising the Onishe of Ubulu Uku for his political sagacity and popularity in the state, Nwaoboshi said “Emma Ejiofor is a very important person as far as PDP is concerned. You cannot mention PDP in Delta State without Chief Emma Ejiofor. He has played major roles in PDP. He has played the role of a leader but remembered; why? He would install people into political positions but after making them win elections, they would Lord over him” He however, advised that people should respect Chief Ejiofor not as a LG PDP leader but as a state PDP leader, stressing that the traditional leader has done much in terms of politics in Delta State. In his response, chief Ejiofor welcomed his guests, promising that he would do anything that will make PDP and Ubulu Uku move forward. Present at the occasion were the rep Oshimili North in Delta State House of Assembly, Mrs Pat Ajudia, SA to the Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan on Beautification, Angel Nwaka, Aniocha South PDP Chairman, Ben Nwadiashi and Nwaoboshi Campaigne Director in Aniocha South LG, Emmanuel Sorokwu. Others are the Master of Ceremony, Isaac Anwuzia and 14 ward PDP chairman flag bearers including Ubulu youths who carried placards to welcome the political heavyweights.
