NY City Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo is a criminal, a murderer and should be charged with the murder of Mr. Eric Garner - JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED for the family of Garner and the citizens of NYC. I want you to know Daniel Pantaleo...you are a COWARD and you committed MURDER! Brutus Maximus L H If you analyze the video of the man that was clearly killed with a choke hold by a NYPD officer recently that will give some insight as to why the general public in NYC is so frustrated right now NYPD and LEA in general. The death of the gentleman that was choked out was determined to be a homicide by a medial examiner in NYC from what I understand. Why the officer is not held accountable and prosecuted for his actions that result in an unnecessary death to me is absolutely absurd. In my 13 year military career I have been a Medic, MP and now an investigator...I cannot understand why 4 or 5 NYPD officers did not use pepper spray or taze the gentle they killed with a choke hold that was clearly unwarranted. In my opinion, the officer is a criminal, MMA wannabe and his actions are against standard police protocol because his life was NOT in danger to warrant him using that type of choke hold in that scenario period. The victim resisted arrest verbally but NOT physically - he never fought back and the victim clearly told the NYPD officers he couldn’t breathe verbatim!!! The NYPD went from a verbal interview right to hands on and down to the ground and 3 to four officers attacked him simultaneously while one officer choked him and killed him. What is worse is that after he was unconscious no one administered first aid immediately to open his airway and start chest compressions. The victim was loaded on a stretcher and taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. We need to take a hard look at the death certificate to see how much damage was done to the victims airway and cervical spine that caused in his death. The only way this man could have survived the choke hold would have been to fight back but if he did that he would have possibly been shot and still not pepper sprayed or tazed and died unfortunately. What gives a cop the right to use a strangle hold/rear naked choke in this scenario??? That was completely unnecessary in that situation! Furthermore, I have been training in karate, judo, and aikido since I was 11 years old, I am 43 now. I train and I teach martial arts and I use that specific strangle hold and I teach it to others and they administer it to me in training and fighting and I have never killed anyone nor have I been hurt or killed with it (obviously)!! A rear naked choke is extremely dangerous and it is one of the reasons referees stop fights in the UFC very quickly before a fighter is killed. In judo choking or strangling can only be executed with the gi (uniform) and not without using the gi lapels to choke an opponent - because it is too dangerous!!!!! So with all that said, my point is this...the NYC residents have a right to be outraged about this killing. It is a shame they are killing random POs now however, the public is starting to become irrational and violent because they are not seeing justice served to the cop that killed a man for selling cigarettes illegally. The NYC residents and family of the victim deserve justice. The PO that killed the man with a choke hold must be held accountable for murdering the victim. Criminals cannot be allowed to serve on the NYPD and that PO is a criminal in my book period, end of story and should be in jail facing murder charges for the death that he specifically caused!! As a Solider I know that we have criminals in uniform in both the military and paramilitary law enforcement agencies and we MUST ALWAYS hold them accountable so that WE DO NOT LOSE THE PUBLIC TRUST OF THE CITIZENS THAT WE TOOK AN OATH TO PROTECT. Once the public no longer respects the civilian law enforcement agencies in NYC and around the US, we are going to have a very big problem on our hands! Violence will only result in more violence and more lives lost. Criminals killing random POs need to be arrested and prosecuted and SO DO POs OFFICERS THAT KILL CITIZENS UNNECESSARILY! BOTH ARE UNACCEPTABLE!!!
