NYSPHSAA has voted to recognize high school Cheerleading as a sport in our state and were excited at CNY to support this new structure. Some of our CNY staff, past and present, have been involved with these grassroots efforts for over 20 years and we are pleased that the state has unanimously adopted this ruling. It has always been our goal to provide proper skills and safety training to as many athletes and coaches as we can and applaud all of those that sought the additional training on their own. Now with the support of their school districts we look forward to helping to train even more area cheerleaders and coaches to help them be the safest and very best they can be!
