NYT on Marcella Hazan: “The point was not only to remember Marcella’s life, but to ensure that her legacy as a teacher continues,” said Dorothy Kalins, the former editor of Saveur magazine. Dorothy Hamilton, director of the International Culinary Center, said the school would award a Marcella Hazan scholarship annually, providing a student with a six-month immersion in Italian cuisine, including studies in Emilia-Romagna, the birthplace of Mrs. Hazan and of her husband, Victor.
