NZ NEWS: TPPA PROTEST MARCH IN WELLINGTON 29 March 2014 1pm-3.30pm - Hundreds turned out in protest to oppose the TPPA (Trans-Pacific Partnership Alliance) in NZs capital city. We met at the Cuba Mall Bucket Fountain where rousing speeches were delivered from across the spectrum of concerned citizens and grassroots movements for social justice. The march continued to Parliament grounds with more speeches and an open mic. Politicians who spoke were Gareth Hughes from Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand, Hone Harawira from the Mana Party and a spokesman for the Maori Party who was heckled by the crowd to cross the floor and move away from its alliance with the corporate-driven NZ National Party government.
