NZ USAR Have just taken possession of 7 new Network Deployment cases.The were manufactured by Ignition Networks in Auckland. The cases will be allocated so the International Cache has 3 (1 X RDC - 1 X OSOCC - 1 X Command Tent) then each team will have one and a spare will be housed at NHQ. In my technical speak these are way cool heres a brief on the capability. 4 x Bearer source, BGAN, Wireless, WAN, 4G USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports 6 Port Ethernet with POE 2 x 1GB HDD in raid configuration 1 x USB External HDD for backup OS Windows server 2012 build UPS which allows 30 mins operation at fulf load External power source from a car battery, 110-240V supply Mouse, Keyboard and USB screen inside the lid Router with load balancing and priority between bearers All INSARAG forms for USAR operations will be on the HDD ARCGIS Server will be installed to manage data collected via the tablets using the new rapid disaster assessment tools.
