NZUKO NDI ABIA ( https://facebook/NzukoAbia ) WROTE: Somebody wrote to the political platform on Ray Power FM this morning, in a nutshell, he said why are we (Ndi Igbo) so perturbed about Fashola and his party ACN’s obvious dislike and rejection of Ndi Igbo living in Lagos State. We should pay them (Fashola and ACN) back in their own coin by rejecting them at the polls come 2015. Quite frankly, I agree with him, we constitute a huge voting bloc in Lagos State, hence we are not entirely powerless when it comes political and economic decisions in the state. Fashola and his party can only deport so much (67) without causing a national crisis, we (Ndi Igbo) can do so much more with our votes. So, my advice to Ndi Igbo cannot be different from the advice of Dim Odemgwu Ojukwu – wherever you find yourself in Nigeria as an Igbo person, YOU BELONG THERE because it is your country. Do not be cowed by the irresponsible actions of political office holders. Sit tight, work hard, fight back with whatever is at your disposal (in this case our collective political clout). When the time comes, even if you are destitute, it cannot stop you from registering to vote, it cannot stop you from voting, it definitely cannot stop you from telling Fashola and his cohorts that they no longer represent your interests in Lagos state. WE WILL REJECT THEM WITH OUR VOTES COME 2015.
