The voice of Mohd Rafi enthralled millions of music lovers and cine goers for decades. Whether it was Shammi Kapoor yahooing on the slopes of Kashmir in Junglee or Dev Anand serenading Asha Parekh atop a train in Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai. His was the voice which lent a charm to romance, a melancholy to grief. His was the voice which dominated the Hindi film industry in the 50s and 60s, the golden era of the industry. Those days will never come again, stalwarts like Rafi will never be born again.
