Na this Pope Francis go still rescue Catholic Church from itself. See how a culture of cover-ups under Popes John Paul IIand Benedict XVI allowed this shameful rot to spread unchecked. Meanwhile it was one Pope (St Gregory) who instituted this wrong-headed celibacy requirement as a forlorn check against turning church into family business. In this day of corporate personality, it is an outmoded solution, if indeed it ever worked smoothly. Another pope can and should throw it out. Let the priests marry. The bible sef requires it.
