Nabenia key member of Under 19 football team Ba’s Samuela Nabenia has been tagged as one of the players who will be key for the Vodafone Fiji Under-19 football side at the World Cup play-offs starting in Suva tomorrow. Nabenia, who is the younger brother of former Ba rep Malakai Tiwa, is in the final 20-member squad. National coaching director Juan Carlos Buzzetti says Nabenia, who played for Ba in the OFC Champions League, is destined for great things in the sport. “Nabenia missed the cut in last year’s squad. But this year he has been fantastic, he was probably one of our best players during the New Zealand tour. He showed potential he has, so quick and so sharp and never stops working for the entire 90 minutes. So we are very pleased with him.” The tournament gets underway with Fiji clashing with American Samoa clash at 2.30pm at the ANZ Stadium. Vanuatu meets New Caledonia at 5pm, before the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea clash at 7.30pm.
