Stephanie: I lost my phone this afternoon and tried to use the web to find my phone and it said it couldnt find my device but when I did finally find the phone, it has all the settings that it says are required, its connected to my gmail account, Ive turned on location services, etc. I want to be able to locate my phone in the future so want to get this figured out. Nadia: Hi There Nadia: Sorry to learned about your issue. Nadia: I understand your concern and I will be more than willing to assist you since at Motorola, we always want to make it right. Nadia: Just to verify, does your phone still ON? Stephanie: yes Nadia: Before you can use Android Device Manager, you have to enable it on your device and associate your device with your Google account. Stephanie: I did all that Nadia: Our site allows your to locate, lock, and even wipe your phone when you link it to a Google account and sign in at motorola/support. Nadia: After you have enabled this feature simply go to motorola/support and select Lost Device and choose the feature you want to use. All of these features require that the device is powered ON and has a data connection Stephanie: I DID THAT< IT DIDNT WORK. THATS WHY Im ASKING FOR HELP Nadia: I understand your frustration, but then again We need to make sure if the device has interet connection. Nadia: Because All of these features require that the device is powered ON and has a data connection Stephanie: IT IS ON, IT HAS INTERNET CONNECTION, I LINKED MY Account to the phone on the phone. When I go to motorola/support and log in, it says there are no phones associated with my account. Stephanie: Can you not test it for me? Stephanie: Is there someone I can talk to who can actually help me instead of just re-typing what is already available on the web? Nadia: I really do apologize but we have no means of accessing your account. Stephanie: I am looking for diagnostic help, not you just typing exactly what I can read on the internet, which Ive already done, and have told you several times. Stephanie: So what do I do? Stephanie: You cant give me any advice except to turn on my phone and make sure its connected to the internet? Nadia: We can only check the last log in time/date on your device through our Dashboard Nadia: Do you know the IMEI of your device?> Stephanie: No, what is that? Nadia: The IMEI is a unique serial number assigned to each phone. Nadia: May I know the number associated with the device?
