Start with your nail painted white. Make sure it is 100% dry 2. Tape off half of your nail using regular scotch tape (I also taped around my finger for easier clean up) 3. On a damp sponge, paint the colors you want to use 4. Roll the sponge onto your nail 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have the reached your desired color (after the first 1-2 coats dab the sponge onto your nail) 6. Remove the tape 7. Add fast drying top coat 8. Once 100% dry, tape off the half that already has the gradient 9. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for this half and remove the tape when done 10. Clean up using a nail brush and acetone (I use a Kolinsky Sable 666 No. 12 brush that I bought on eBay) Tip: You can clean up your vertical line by CAREFULLY removing the polish with your acetone dipped brush - make sure your brush isnt soaked in acetone, it will remove too much polish 11.
