Nakakainis talaga. This patient came to the clinic - complaining of grade 10/10 axillary pain on the right which he thought came from a previous injury a week ago from basketball. When I inspected the area concerned, there was no sign of a bruise nor any swelling and redness. The palpation revealed a 10/10 point tenderness and he was able to do passive ROM with ease and without resistance. I asked him to push my hands and do a high five and clearly, he had instant pain even if the procedure was not yet complete. His vital signs were normal and he never sweated. Then, i gave him a pain reliever and asked him to come back if the pain persisted. HE WAS DEFINITELY MALINGERING!. What was more abhorrent and despicable was he wore a UP ID lanyard. What!!! He was a school mate and he wanted to dupe me. Grabe!! Some UP students really are on the dark path while others try their best to do whats right. I am so in disbelief. The patient wanted to go home and tried to con his way out of his shift. He thought he was having a fracture but if it was a fracture, it would had been very painful a few days from the accident - not a week. Hello!!
