Namaste Most of the people in Kathmandu do not know that thousands of people go to Shivapuri Bagg Duhar(origin of bagmati and visnumati rivers) to worship on Nepali New Year eve and stay there for one night. As usual our Budhanilkanta samiti coordinating with mandhir samiti, local youth groups are organizing street food festivals,face paints, arts competition and live band music. On same day, we also organized a mountain bike ride to encourage all to take part to highlight awareness of save energy and prevent environment. When: Sunday 30 chaitra Time: Assemble at 10 am in front of budhanilkanta mandir. As we expect participation of some novice riders a short briefing will take place on safety and the routes. Routes: Start from mandir to shivapuri Staff Collage gate, turn right and head east direction and reach pani muhan (Bipsana Kendra) and down hill back to budhanilkantha mandir. A secure area has been already allocated for our cycle park. Service and support: Riders need to take water bottle, chocolates or any other food themselves. As mercury is rising up day by day please forget not to take sun block cream and sun hat. Food stalls will be on the street on cash sale basis. Family and friends can also come and take part as a short hiking on different routes in green environment.
