Name: Martha Dralle Date: March 13th, 1942 - August 18th, 2013 Obituary: Martha Patterson Dralle entered the Kingdom of God on August 18, 2013. She was born on March 13, 1942 in Walker County, Alabama to Henry and Annie (Abbott) Patterson. She lived most of her life in Winston County, Alabama but made Florence, AL her home in 1984. Martha served the Lord faithfully as a member of Woodmont Baptist Church in Florence. She loved her ladies’ Sunday school class and all the friends she made as a member of Woodmont. She volunteered in her church in several capacities including; in-church ministry, home-bound visits, and Woodmont VBS. She was well known for her community volunteering; hospital auxiliary at ECM, FIX 91.9, and numerous hours as a volunteer in Phil Campbell during the tornado relief in 2011. She also loved her volunteer work at Ridgecrest in Ridgecrest, N.C. Spending time with her family and friends was one of her greatest joys in life. She also enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and traveling. She was loved by all she met and never met a stranger. She was known for her friendliness, generosity, and kindness to others. Most importantly, she was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother and a devoted Christian. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lambert (Bert) Dralle; her parents Henry and Annie Patterson; sisters Alice Rayroa, Estelle Miles, Margaret Overton, brothers Clarence, Cecil, Paul, & George Patterson; two nieces and three nephews. She is survived by her loving family. One daughter Donna Ables (Eric); two sons Ron Moody (Della), Roger Moody (Derinda); her ten grandchildren, Scott Sibley, Justin (Jennifer) Sibley, Matthew Osborne Moody, Nicole Moody, Orry (Alyson) Moody, Blake Hodges, Noah Moody, and Seth Vickery; and her nine great grandchildren, Audrey, Grayson, Hilliary, Cassidy, Christian, Dominic, Devin, Dylan, and Dawson. Her sisters, Mae Belle Clemons, Hattie Butler, Wilma(Paul) Patterson and three brothers Clyde, Giles, and Lee Patterson and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Martha will be Saturday September 7, 2013 at 2:00pm, officiated by Drew Jamison at Woodmont Baptist Church at 2002 Darby Drive, Florence, AL 35630. The Church will provide a meal following her service The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Felix Morris, the loving ladies of her Sunday school class at Woodmont Baptist Church, Glenwood Healthcare Rehabilitation Unit, and all those that help take such special care of her. In lieu of flowers, Martha’s request memorial donations are made to Woodmont Baptist Church at 2002 Darby Drive, Florence, AL 35630, the American Cancer Society at 104 S.
