Name of ski victim released The Chelan County Coroner today released the name of the 17-year-old skier who died Friday after going over a bank and hitting a tree at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort. Dean Allen of Chelan, died from a trauma to his head, Coroner Wayne Harris said in an email. He was wearing a helmet, which broke, Harris said. He said there will be no autopsy. Allen lost control and left the ski run, going down a bank and into some trees, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. He died at Central Washington Hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
