Namsai takes stock of health situation NAMSAI, Nov 14: The first meeting of the District Health Mission of the newly created Namsai District was held on Nov 13 in Namsai under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner R.K. Sharma, regarding the constitution of the governing body under District Health Society and other issues of Namsai District. Sharma emphasized on the importance of health sector, besides the formation and constitution of the Governing body under National Health Mission (NHM) to implement all centrally sponsored schemes in the district. He requested all the members to give cooperation and coordination to the health department to fight against diseases in the vulnerable district. DMO Dr. Nani Rika highlighted status of the health scenario under newly created Namsai District. He requested all the members to give support to the health department in the implementation of time bound programme in the newly created district. Ravi Jha IAS, ADC Namsai District and Kyasin Mounglang, Zilla Chairperson (ZCP) of Namsai District participated in the discussion of the formation and constitution of the Governing Body under District Health Society of Namsai. The meeting adopted resolution for constitution of the governing body, formation of District Health Society and early registration of the society.
