Namulambe De-campaigns PF, Targets Defection to UPND Foreign affairs deputy minister Gabriel Namulambe has started de-campagning the ruling Patriotic Front in his constituency triggering divisions among party officials. Namulambe, a seasoned crosstitute who abandoned the MMD to join the Patriotic Front, took to denouncing the PF government at a traditional ceremony held in Machiya of Mpongwe district last weekend. Sources close to Namulambe have hinted his intentions to defect to the opposition UPND. Namulambe is planning to ditch the ruling party in preference for the UPND which has allegedly gained some cosmetic dominance. During the Nsengele Nkununka traditional ceremony, Namulambe castigated chiefs and traditional affairs minister Nkandu Luo for abandoning the ceremony in preference for a central committee meeting in Lusaka. Namulambe has further threatened to decampaign the ruling party in the 2015 presidential by elections.
