Nancy Powell, the US ambassador to India has resigned. The info goes that she delayed a little too late to make it up with Narendra Modi. A fresh political face might become the US ambassador to India. Ajay Agarwal of the BJP will be fighting Sonia Gandhi at Rae Bareli & Smriti Irani of the BJP will be fighting Rahul Gandhi at Amethi. So far, so good. Now there has been a move to field a common candidate against Narendra Modi at Varanasi. AAP is not for it, nor are SP & BSP interested. The jailed Muslim leader has announced that he is willing to withdraw, if a common candidate is hoisted & will ensure that the Muslim votes go to that Candidate, to defeat Narendra Modi. The Congress is mulling for a strong candidate. The impression goes that, they are mulling & searching for a very strong candidate, while the likes of Digvijays, Rashid Alvis, Chidambarams have expressed their eagerness to fight NaMo at Varanasi. As a political observer, I have a very very silly & foolish hunch. The Congress has already decided the candidate against NaMo & is fooling around. My hunch is that, at the nth minute Rahul Gandhi will stand up as the brave general & declare his candidature, for a second seat from Varanasi. He will try to give an impression to his party, his supporters & to the nation that, here is the new Indian youth, brave & courageous. Fall out, the Muslim leader will withdraw, SP will withdraw bcos, they dont want to field a candidate against the mother & Son duo. Eventually it will be Kejriwal, Rahul, SP candidate & NaMo for the contest. How is my hunch :P
