Napa 9/11 Memorial Dedication Ceremony Please Join Us, to dedicate the 9/11 Memorial Garden on the 12th Anniversary of this national tragedy. September 11, 2013 7 PM All are welcome! No RSVP required. The Napa 9/11 Memorial Garden is located across from the historic Napa Valley Opera House, 1030 Main Street, Napa, CA. The community of Napa acquired 30 tons of steel - pieces of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, after the Port announced it would offer steel artifacts to any non-profit entity worldwide, interested in creating September 11th memorials. In a public-private collaboration, local artist Gordon Huether was asked to design this monumental memorial, becoming the focal point of the 9/11 Memorial Garden. Constructed from the recovered remnants of the World Trade Center, the Napa 9/11 Memorial honors the victims of terrorism and all who risk their lives to save others. This place of reflection is meant to inspire us to continue to express the courage, caring and compassion our world experienced that day.
