Napoleon Davis Napoleon Davis, a Creek Indian Freedmen - TopicsExpress

Napoleon Davis Napoleon Davis, a Creek Indian Freedmen descendant sought to guard the history and culture of Creek Indian Freedmen by first housing the history in a museum built on his family’s original Creek Indian Freedmen land allotment in Taft, Oklahoma. Second, he preserved the legacy of Creek Freedmen by compiling the written history in a book, Oklahoma Creek Freedmen “My Roots” which spanned the years 1858-1921. It list a record of every Creek Freedmen that was enrolled for citizenship by the Dawes commission. Oklahoma Creek Freedmen “My Roots” was published to identify the Creek Freedmen, their children, their age, so forth. “I am trying to use this as an asset - The record of your roots”. I hope you will agree and benefit. Napoleon Davis Photo #1. Napoleon Davis Photo # 2. Lucy Grayson-Davis-Patrick 1892-1965 (Napoleon Davis’s mother) Creek Freedmen roll # 1592 Photo #3.
