Narendra Modi somehow evokes some hope inside me. Hope that India as a nation will see some reforms in the near future. Hope that no Indian prime minister in the past decade has been able to provide. Manmohan Singh was a puppet, sorry but its true. Also, Modi needs to be more stern. Things cannot be this easygoing. But then again, I am quite impressed with the response hes gotten from the NRIs living in the states. I just wish he will be persuasive enough to solve the severe brain drain India is going through. This wont be done unless theres a promise of better amenities and infrastructure so that educated professionals wont be hesitant to return home and help boost their own economies instead of the wests. Easier said than done though. Indias current state of corruption is going to make this way too complicated and intertwined. But, things are improving.. and Modi is stepping in the right direction.
