Narrated Abu Talhah: I heard Allahs Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) saying; Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal). [Bukhari 4:448] Narrated Ibn Abbas: Abu Talhah, a companion of Allahs Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) and one of those who fought at Badr together with Allahs Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) told me that Allahs Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) said. Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. He meant the images of creatures that have souls. [Bukhari 5:338]
