Narrative Report on the Presentation of Budget Allocation July 2, 2013 Any institution needs assistance to operate. A school for example, needs budget to fully render services to its clientele. Everybody knows that the school receives the so called MOOE fund which serves as the primary source of the school budget. Last July 2, 2013, the school staff invited all the stakeholders and parents as well as the municipal mayor, Hon. Rodolfo H. Manalo, and some municipal councilors to witness the presentation of the school head regarding the accomplishments and expenses of the school for the last school year. The teacher-in-charge of the school, Mr. Arnel C. Evangelista, presented the accomplishments of the school last school year. He pointed out how is the school budget allocated and spent. He presented the expenses for the last school year as well as the amount of MOOE received by the school since the school year 2011-2012. Last school year 2011- 2012, the school received 10, 674.99 quarterly or 3,558.33 monthly. It increased to 31,150.00 quarterly or 10, 383.33 monthly last school year 2012-2013. This school year, it also increased to Php.40, 500.00 per quarter or 13,350.00 in a month. Mr. Evangelista elucidated how the MOOE is spent. It is liquidated properly according to the APP or the Annual Procurement Plan. It often goes to the different services offered by the school like repairs of computers, electric wirings, grass cutting, and some more. It is also used to pay the electric bills monthly. Photocopies of test papers and purchase of school supplies are also taken from the MOOE fund. The school also submits a certification Mr. Evangelista clearly explained how the MOOE last year was spent. He presented in detail the allocation of even the least centavo of the fund. The municipal mayor and his councilors were very impressed to Mr. Evangelista’s presentation. He showed that transparency is one of the school’s prides. The parents and other stakeholders were also enlightened about the school expenses. They realized that the school spends its budget accordingly. Truly, a public office is a public trust. The community can give their complete trust to the school if the school shows that it is worthy of it.
