♥♥♥♥♥ ~ Nashville-Neglects ~ Hello everyone, thank you to those who have reached out to help with Project 62. I know you all mean well but the following needs to be addressed: PLEASE do not request SPECIFIC demands. This is not a breeder but an elderly lady who recently lost her husband and is overwhelmed by taking care of 62 cats without him. His death benefits have not started yet. Therefore, I cannot PROMISE such and such of a breed of cat, age, gender etc. etc. etc. Some of the kitties are ear tipped so that who has been already neutered/spayed can be kept track of. These cats are living in horrible conditions. Some need medical attention. Transit is an option but for the benefit of the kittys well being, please consider at least two at a time to lessen their stress. Their entire lives, they have only had each other for comfort, please do not deny them of what they only have come to know. They have spend the majority of their lives in horrid cages, pent up in buildings with no sunlight. They are tame kitties but will need UNDERSTANDING, PATIENCE, and TLC. They will be neutered/spayed and have their rabies vaccination. If you would like to donate funds so that testing for FIV/FeVL can be accomplished and the distemper vaccination be provided as well - THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL! Some need immediate Vet attention. Chance has been one of them and you can see him directly on our wall, but there are others. There is no funding for these kitties. They are being given pine needles and leaves to use as litter, food is minimal and anything at best, and accommodations would make most people very upset to see. The elderly woman is doing her best and sincerely feels that she is helping them. Sadly, its too many and these kitties are suffering. I am aware and associated with most of the available kitty transits. The transits operate by volunteers so please sign up to help if you can that way! Mention of each will be posted in the future but will be primarily Imagine Home as they are very accommodating, fast with scheduling and do not have fees for being a free service! Thank you Imagine Home! The transit is free, but the kitties will need a carrier to accommodate them. Again, donations to help would be gratefully accepted to help the situation.
