Nasty NE winds yesterday and rain! Fished hard where we could, bouncing around and getting pushed around by big gusts of wind. Caught some cod, halibut, incl a big halibut we had on the trolling gear but finally spit the hook after some time. Yet the day turned monumental when a bull Orca appeared right next to the boat, apparently following a small halibut wed hooked to the surface! I remember thinking for a very short moment, I could jump onto his back! He was polite and didnt take our halibut, but rolled on his side and looked at us directly with his eye, swam under the boat, and probably wondered why the halibut was acting so strangely. Nicer weather today! If the fishing ever gets slow try mammaling.
