Nate Griggs for Ward 10: Campaign Planks - Building a Better Minneapolis 1) Supporting local restaurants/cafes by creating a business friendly environment at city hall. 2) Addressing the pros and cons of the Nicollet Ave Redevelopment Project, and other development projects in Uptown. 3) Developing inclusive strategies to facilitate community integration (incorporating the East African community into the local political decision making process). 4) Supporting subject matter experts as they address the academic achievement gap, and unemployment disparity. 5) Setting the conditions for rapid infrastructure Improvements (backup power in the event of storms, mitigating heavy traffic in Uptown, bike path/safety improvement, public transit, fixing potholes, etc.) 6) Supporting the LGBTQ community. 7) Achieving sustainable local food production through urban farming. 8 ) Strengthening the local brew scene. 9) Identifying and defining opportunities for improving the quality of life for all people in Minneapolis.
