Nathan Winograds event last night was incredible, motivating, and inspiring! It was very humbling in seeing a packed theatre with so many awesome people wanting to learn how to help bring positive, lifesaving change to our shelter animals. Thank you to everyone for attending - you all are amazing! The event could not have gone as smooth as it did without the help of all the volunteers. A huge THANK YOU to everyone for your help and for bringing the tastiest vegan desserts! I will be contacting you for recipes :-) We would also like to extend another huge THANK YOU to Supervisor Rogers for attending the event and learning more about the No Kill movement. Supervisor Rogers is running for District 5 for a seat on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Please let everyone know she is on-board and committed to supporting our efforts to implement lifesaving reforms. We would also like to thank Nathan Winograd for coming to Maricopa County. He has taught so many all across the nation (actually, the world!) how to take a stand and demand shelter reform. Due to his never-ending efforts, there are hundreds of No Kill communities across the nation saving at an upwards of 95% of their shelter animals. We can be a No Kill nation – never give up! via Nathan Winograd: I’m sitting at the airport, on my home from Las Vegas and Phoenix where, once again, we had hefty crowds and full houses for the screening of Redemption, my film about the No Kill revolution in America: nokill.org 15 cities down, 11 to go and then we are on to some film festivals. Last month, I posted about some of the great critters I’ve met on this tour, including this little cat on wheels who came to the Nashville showing of the film. I’ve also met some great food. Like this vegan donut from Ronald’s in Las Vegas. And the “Big Wac” in Phoenix, a vegan Big Mac and fries, hands down the best veggie burger in America. Finally, I’ve met some really kind, caring, and dedicated people, unsung heroes working against innumerable obstacles to make a lifesaving difference in their communities. I will post some of their inspirational stories soon. I hope many of you join me in one of the remaining cities. A No Kill nation is within our reach and you can help make it happen: nokillredemption/screenings/
