Nathan and I have talked about starting a big garden. Not just for us, but it will be for special needed children in Jefferson County - as we grow we can extend to outside Jfco.. By that, I mean children with any kind of diagnosis; autism, ADD, ADHD, downs, ANY thing that you could think of as the list goes on. Those children will come out and help plant the veggies, maintain the weeds, pick veggies when they are ripe, then get to take them home. Since we as parents are learning to work with and better understand sensory disorders, we also want to help other children as well. This would help us with social skills, learning responsibilities, and much more! What do you think about this? It wouldnt be this year obviously as we would need to prepare, organize and get the word out. Do you think parents would join? Let me know your opinion!
