Nathaniel has continued having lab work done on his blood at the - TopicsExpress

Nathaniel has continued having lab work done on his blood at the oncologists office twice a week. Nothing out of the ordinary or especially concerning has shown up on these tests, so praise God for that. The doctor says that his levels appear to be normal for somebody in the recovery stage of leukemia. I just pray that soon they will be normal, period, soon. He didnt seem to feel the best today, but I think this was, again, due to his teething. Overall, hes still eating and drinking well, but he does have times when he just seems too uncomfortable to eat or drink. We just give him his teething gel, Tylenol, or ibuprofen to him depending on the specific issue and what hes able to take at that time. That generally seems to work. Today, Nathaniel was with me at the post office when an older woman (whom we didnt know) started talking to Nathaniel and me. She said that, although Nathaniel doesnt talk, he was saying a lot to her with his eyes. I mentioned to her that it had been two months to the day when Nathaniels leukemia was first identified, but that he is now in remission. She asked if she could pray for him and I asked her to please go ahead. She placed her hand on his shirt and prayed for complete healing for him. She went on to say that another woman she had prayed with a while back found out the following day that the Hepatitis C shed had was completely gone. I usually dont hear these sort of stories from people I know, let alone strangers, but I thought her story was a good one and she seemed like a nice person. Im not one who would ever turn away prayers either, especially if they will work towards complete recovery. Yesterday we received a package in the mail from an organization related to childrens cancers. It had a bunch of helpful items for both of our kids and some good information for Christina and me. One of the items in the package was a DVD with a cartoon called Paul and the Dragon. I had Cecilia, our two-and-a-half year-old daughter, watch it with me tonight. It had no spoken or written dialogue, but the movie still seems to have said a lot to her as it showed a boy and his battle with cancer. I was able to talk to her about how Nathaniel has been going through a similar experience and she seemed pretty impressed. If any of you are interested in watching it or showing it to children in your lives, Ive put a link to it below. Please continue to keep Nathaniel in your prayers. He is in need of ongoing strength and healing. He could use relief from pain related to his teething and from any other pain or discomfort he might possibly be experiencing. Thank you to all of you for your ongoing prayers and assistance! You are immensely appreciated!!! vimeo/54352642
