National Aboriginal Day falls on Saturday, June 21, but you are invited to celebrate TODAY with the City of Regina! The event is being held today RAIN OR SHINE, in case of rain, attendees will be directed indoors. 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ~ City Hall Courtyard or Henry Baker Hall In addition to fantastic entertainment, Mayor Michael Fougere will bring opening remarks, a free lunch (soup, bannock, cake and a beverage) will be served between 12 and 1 p.m., and the event will wrap up with a round dance at 1:15 p.m. While here, check out the City of Regina Career Fair Booth which will showcase Aboriginal City Employee careers in: • Regina Fire & Protective Services • Regina Transit • Regina Police Service • Roadways & Transportation Services Entertainment will be provided throughout the event from: • Red Dog Drum Group & Sheldon Poitras • Hoop Dancers – Terrence Littletent & Steven Obey Littletent Jr. • Powwow Dancers – Rodney Isnana & Dancers • Métis Jiggers/Fiddler
