National Award-winning Bengali filmmaker Anjan Das passes away------------------------ One of my finer Cinematic experiences happened through the cinematic version of well known poet Joy Goswamis autobiographical verse novel--- Jara Brishti te Bhijechilo( drenched in rain). It was lovingly created (won the special directors award at Almaty, Kazakhstan besides fetching the jury special award for the director in Spain.) by relatively under appreciated auteur ANJAN DAS whose Cinema followed the parameters of Poetry. He lived a life of a bhadralok steeped in cinema & litterature, away from the glare of Tollywood. His best known creation was the multi award winning Sanjbatir roopkatha!!! He was supposed to keep the flag of un diluted Cinema flying . But alas he passed away suddenly, keeping many a frames empty !!RIP Anjan Das !!
