National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET isa qualifying cum entrance exam for students who wish to delay getting admission in undergraduate medical course ( MBBS ) or dental course ( BDS ) or a postgraduate course ( MD / MS ) in government and private medical colleges in India by one year. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] NEET - UG, for MBBS and BDS courses, will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET - UG will replace the AllIndia Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individualMBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. How ever still many colleges and institutes have taken a stay order and conducted private examination for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses.All India institute of medical sciences will be also be taking their separate examination. However many other reputed institutes like AFMC and BHU have opted to take students on the basis of NEET-UG [ 3 ] also conducted by CBSE.
