National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield. We would - TopicsExpress

National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield. We would like to involve keen animators on our exciting graduation project. When researching potential contributors, you came to our attention as you seem to develop the kind of talented people we are after. We are currently in production for our final graduation film entitled After the End, which is a CG-animated 10 minute short. The technique we are using is a mixture of CG animation and live action sets- the concept of which is somewhere between Wallace and Gromit and Toy Story. We are currently looking for people to work alongside the director as a Maya character animator. At the moment we have a team of 6-7 animators who all animate remotely, since they come from everywhere in the world (France, Denmark, US and even Brazil!). Unfortunately, because this being a graduation film project, this isn’t a paid position. That said, we can pay for expenses and the chosen students will be credited on this very ambitious and entertaining project. As you may know, NFTS animation shorts have an excellent track record, having received a total of 6 BAFTA awards and 6 Academy Award nominations . Our latest successes include Sleeping with the Fishes, winner the 2014 BAFTA award for Best British Short Animation and Head Over Heels, nominated for the 2012 Academy Awards. If a student or graduate is interested in this project, please contact me at my email address below with a show reel of their work. Thank you very much in advance and we look forward to hearing back from you and your students. Kindest Regards, Brodie Robertson Production Assistant National Film and Television School brodierobertson@aol This following link leads to the director, Sams, previous film. Technique-wise, it is similar to what we are hoping to achieve, except with fully rigged and sculpted 3D characters: https://vimeo/85111519.
