National Front releases ‘Last Message of Guroo’ => Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) released the book on Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guroo in Srinagar on Tuesday. The people present on the occasion were seen emotionally charged after the speakers throw light on the life and events of Guroo. Besides National Front Chairman Nayeem Ahmed Khan, others who were present on the occasion included Shabir Ahmed Shah, Hilal Ahmed War, Zamrooda Habib, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Advocate G.N.Shaheen. One of the accomplice of Shaheed Afzal Guroo, Sheikh Musaib who had spent time with Afzal in Tihar Jail narrated the woeful tale about the Guroo. The 94-page book, titled, ‘Ahli-e-Imman Ke Naam Shaheed Muhammad Guru Ka Akhri Paigaam’ (Last Message) compiled by Jammu and Kashmir National Front is based on writings of Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru in Tihar Jail. Speaking on the occasion, Nayeem Ahmed Khan said that whatever, Afzal had written within the closed walls of Tihar Jail has become tha part of the book. While reading some sentences from the book Khan said, “Guru was freedom fighter and a true religious person. Even in his last letter, which he wrote just an hour (6.25 AM) before going to gallows, he addressed his nation without caring for his own family and about his death. He was a valiant whom Kashmiri people would owe till eternity” He said innocent people are being killed in Valley at the hands of State Government. “The State Government is responsible for all the bloodshed in Kashmir. “What was done in Gool, was repeated in Shopian. This government shielded the culprits responsible for Kishtwar communal violence,” Khan said. During the function two video clips about 2008 and 2010 uprisings were shown to the audience. Besides, a video reel featuring the sufferings of Guru’s family was presented before the audience comprising of journalists and students. Besides the other leaders, the brother of Guroo, Ajaz Guroo spoke on this occasion. (CNS)
