National Honor Society appeal process--- Catie walked into a room and sat in a chair that faced a semi-circle of 5 chairs occupied by 5 teachers. One of the teachers asked Catie to explain why she put 2 activities as leadership service. After she explained what the activities required of her, each teacher proceeded to ask clarifying questions and challenge her a little. This process lasted for 20 minutes. When I asked her if she was nervous, I love that she said she was for the first 5 minutes but decided that she did not want to let them see her sweat!! She had more than enough service in a leadership role to qualify for NHS. She found out this morning that she made it into NHS. I hope she ultimately profits from this lesson
