National Moment of Silence took place on August 14, 2014 remembering Michael Brown of Ferguson, Missouri, and others who recently died at the hands of local police officers. At the Boston Commons, nearly 500 hundred gathered in solidarity remembering victims both locally and nationally. This vigil brought a diverse population together showing support in ending police violence. Through the night, citizens chanted together, applauded each other for their stories, and cheered in the name of social change.
