National President Ann Panteleakos visited New York last week. After her arrival, she enjoyed a late dinner with several Sisters. The next day, she toured West Point and saw many historical sites while on campus, including The Cadet Chapel, West Point Post Cemetery, and an area that was booby trapped by Patriots during the Revolutionary War. After lunch, they headed to Hudson Valley VA – Castle Point Campus to play bingo with veterans receiving treatment there. That evening, Post and Auxiliary 2064 hosted dinner and meet and greet. At the dinner, Maybrook, NY Mayor Dennis Leahy spoke, and in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, an area social worker gave a presentation on suicide awareness and prevention. Following the dinner, President Ann toured the Post and had an opportunity to see projects completed by Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to honor veterans. Thanks for hosting, New York! #LAVFWPP
