National Stadium in Warsaw Location: Warschau Products used: FIS In Warsaw fischerpolska is involved in the construction of the new National Stadium which is build for the 2012 men’s European Soccer Championchips. The National Stadium in Warsaw is the largest construction site for Euro 2012 where the championship opening match will be held followed by a quarter final and a semi-final. The National Stadium was designed by the German consortium of JSK Architekci sp. z o.o., GMP International GmbH and SBP GMBH (Schlaich Bergermann und Partner). JSK Architekci have already designed numerous facilities abroad – in the German cities of Düsseldorf and Berlin as well as in China and in the Republic of South Africa. The consortium is also known in Poland – it has designed the football stadium of Legia Warszawa and won the contest for the design of the Euro-2012 stadium in Wrocław. The facade of the National Stadium refers to Poland’s national colours, resembling a waving white and red flag. On the stands there will be a separate press space, two thousand premium seats for special guests, seats for handicapped people and about 900 VIP seats in boxes. At this stage, work is going on with full intensity that can be followed in the Internet. The estimate investment cost is about 500 million Euro. The stadium will be completed in autumn 2011 and it will hold 55,000 lookers-on.
