National Unity Government deal signed in Afghanistan . Ashraf Ghani has become the President and the runner-up Abdullah Abdullah has been nominated a CEO( with powers similar to those of prime minister). Hamid Karzai,outgoing Afghan President has said that the agreement was for the progress and development of this country. Since April, there was uncertainty over the outcome of the elections and both Abdullah and Ghani were accusing each other of election fraud. Hope this deal brings a new era of peace, stability and security in Afghanistan. India has a huge interest in stability of the country, as India is involved in so many developmental and infrastructural projects.
