National Weather Service issues Wednesday wind chill advisory A wind chill advisory is in effect from 3-10 am Wednesday, with National Weather Service forecasters warning of wind chill values between minus 5 and minus 15 degrees overnight and into tomorrow morning across all of the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. If you must go outside overnight tonight and tomorrow morning, it is important to remember that several layers of clothing will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. A hat is also recommended, as 20 percent of body heat is lost through the head. Cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills which could results in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
