National Weekly Weather Outlook (Monsoon 2014) Thursday 26th June, 2014 Time: 1400 PST Synoptic Situation: Seasonal low is likely to persist over northern parts of Balochistan and its trough extending southeast wards. A Monsoon trough is likely to establish over the country during last three days of the week. A shallow westerly wave is present over Kashmir and its adjoining areas and likely to move eastwards during next 24 hours. Weak moist currents will continue to penetrate upper Punjab and Kashmir till mid week. Strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in Upper parts of the country from Monday. DAYS/DATE WEATHER OUTLOOK THURSDAY 26-06-2014 Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur, D.I.Khan, Bannu, Hazara divisions during evening/night. Dust-storm is also expected in upper Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana divisions). FRIDAY 27-06-2014 Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places of Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during night. SATURDAY 28-06-2014 Very hot & dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places of Kashmir during evening/night. SUNDAY 29-06-2014 Very hot & dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. MONDAY 30-06-2014 Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower (associated with gusty winds) is expected at isolated places of Kashmir, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during evening/night. Tuesday 01-07-2014 Rain-thundershower (associated with gusty winds) is expected at scattered places of Islamabad, Northeast Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Hazara division and Kashmir during evening/night. Isolated heavy falls is also expected in Kashmir, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Hazara divisions during the period. Wednesday 02-07-2014 Rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places of Islamabad, Punjab, KP and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls is also expected in Kashmir, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Hazara divisions during the period.
