Nationalism is stupid, in all forms. I am proud of my heritage as a Germanic person living in the USA whose ancestors came here from Germany. But I am neither proud of what Germans have done or what Americans have done. We have blood on our hands since before we were born. I had nothing to do with it, but even I recognize the transgressions. To the people involved in the Holocaust, I am sorry, I was not there but surely someone close to me was. To the people involved with the taking of your ancestral lands in the current USA, I am sorry, I was not there but someone close to me was. Let us reconcile our differences and make a human race without boundaries, without politics, without all this bullshit. Let us start anew. Let us realize a new century of cooperarion and peace. Let us realize dying for the ideals in songs like these are futile.
